This self-paced program will help you develop the skills needed to investigate both ‘near-hits' and actual incidents, sometimes called accidents. Although this module will focus on motor vehicle incidents, the principles can be applied to any event.
The aim of any incident investigation should be to discover the causes of the event. By discovering the root cause or causes of an incident, action can be taken to prevent the event recurring in the future.
This module has been designed on a ‘no-blame' model. That means that the process is about learning why things happen, and not who to blame. |
