Low Risk Driving Course - One Day
Description
The Low Risk Driving Course is a one day safe driving course typically delivered on-site, just about anywhere. Individuals can attend courses regularly conducted at quality training rooms around Australia.
The Low Risk Driving Course includes both classroom and practical driving. All driving takes place in real traffic, near the venue. Normally, the course is delivered to a maximum of 8 participants by nationally accredited, and highly experienced workplace trainers.
The course does not aim to develop high level car control skills. The program will help all drivers manage their safety more effectively by exciting their intrinsic desire to stay safe. Most importantly, participants learn how to sustain positive change after the course.
This course helps drivers know what to do, and how to think differently.
Aims
Broadly speaking, the course aims to help participants develop both mental & physical skills in four main areas;
- Preparing for failure - learning to deal with mistakes and errors
- Objective risk assessment - learning to measure driving risks
- Motivating for safety - developing thinking styles that promote safer driving
- Feedback - becoming ‘self-critical' about safety performance
Something New
Research shows that peers can be very persuasive. We incorporate the concept of ‘Peer Feedback' into all courses.
- Introducing ‘Peer Feedback' - what do my workmates think about my driving?
