New Drivers’ Course - Full Day - Groups Bookings Only
| Description |
|
The New Drivers' Course is a specially designed one day safe driving course for 18-24 year olds. Conducted on Saturdays, the course is about 50% practical, with participants learning how to protect themselves from real crashes, in real traffic situations.
The course is not conducted on a race-track or skid-pan, where overly confident drivers are produced. Overly confident drivers take more risks!
Instead, the course is made up of small groups of no more than four. During the intimate classroom sessions, participants share their values, beliefs & attitudes. The costs & benefits of risk taking are discussed analytically and strategic plans are devised to manage safety more effectively.
Most importantly, participants learn how to check their own driving so they can improve after the course. Because ‘peer feedback' is so powerful, we incorporate this concept into the course.
This course helps new drivers know what to do, how to think & manage their emotions more effectively.
